FY25 Annual Report

A Message from our Executive Director

Chris LaBelle, EdD

As the higher education landscape evolves, Michigan Engineering Online & Professional Education is growing to meet the expanding needs of learners. By offering innovative programs, forging new partnerships, and broadening access to engineering education, we are proud to support the college’s mission to deliver knowledge that serves society.

This year, our work expanded in significant ways. We assumed responsibility for the marketing and recruitment of five existing online master’s degrees, strengthening our ability to reach and support students across the globe. At the same time, we launched a new online degree program that will be available in Fall 2026— the Master of Engineering in Construction Engineering & Management — opening new pathways for professionals in this critical field.

We deepened our collaboration with departments across the college, ensuring alignment between academic vision and student support. Our professional education portfolio grew as well, with expanded online and remote-live options that provide working professionals greater flexibility to upskill and reskill in areas essential to their careers.

As we look ahead, we are energized by the opportunities before us to continue to empower learners at every stage of their journey. I am deeply grateful to the faculty, staff, and partners whose commitment makes this work possible. Together, we are advancing engineering education in ways that will shape our society for years to come.

New Website & Salesforce CRM

This impressive internally-managed project began in the Fall of 2024 with the decision to implement the Salesforce CRM. Our internal IT team coded and assembled the unit’s new instance, which was one of the first on Salesforce’s new Education Cloud platform. The website portion kicked off in Spring 2024 and utilized many resources within the College to develop and launch in-house. In late April 2025, our teams celebrated the launch of both great achievements together.
