Improve quality, reduce lead times, and lower costs.
WEEK 1 & WEEK 2 BLUE
WEEK 2 BLUE ONLY
Lean Manufacturing training shows professionals how to improve plant-floor performance by reducing waste, stabilizing processes, and increasing flow. The program focuses on practical Lean methods used to improve quality, throughput, safety, and delivery in production environments.
Through expert lectures, case studies, exercises, and simulations, Lean Manufacturing will equip you with the skills needed to enhance productivity and increase customer satisfaction. By implementing Lean principles and eliminating waste, you can improve your manufacturing process. Learn how to use Lean manufacturing tools, methods, and change management techniques and set your team on a path to success.
This program will benefit any manufacturing, production, purchasing, and supply chain professional. Over 9,000 participants have received a Lean Manufacturing Certificate. Program alumni represent a variety of industry sectors:
*LAPTOP REQUIRED*
Choose which 2-week path you’d like to complete. Each path has the same Week 1.
Week 1: Lean Manufacturing Essentials
Week 2 – Maize: Lean Methods & Implementation
Week 2 – Blue: Complementary Lean Tools & Practice
*LAPTOP REQUIRED*
Within two years of completing either Maize or Blue, complete a third week (the five-day Week 2 course you have not yet taken) to earn the Master Certificate.
Manufacturers use Lean methods to improve production flow, reduce waste, and increase efficiency on the factory floor. Teams apply tools like value stream mapping, standardized work, and pull systems to minimize inventory, reduce defects, and improve throughput across production lines.
Lean Manufacturing Maize and Blue are two different versions of the course. Both Maize and Blue share the same Week 1. Their Week 2 focuses differ. Maize’s Week 2 focuses on Lean methods and implementation, while Blue’s Week 2 focuses on complementary Lean tools and practice.
You can choose to take Maize or Blue—both options lead to a Lean Manufacturing certificate. Reviewing both options’ course information can help you determine which option is best for you. If you would like to take both Maize and Blue, you can complete a third week in order to earn the Lean Manufacturing Master Certificate.
When you register for the Lean Manufacturing course, you are registering for Week 1 and Week 2. Both weeks are required to earn your certificate.
You can earn a Lean Manufacturing Master Certificate by completing both Week 2 options. After earning your initial certificate, you will register for the next offering that includes the Week 2 you have not yet completed.
You do not need prior Lean experience in order to participate in the Lean Manufacturing course. After participating in the interactive two-week course, you will have a solid understanding of Lean thinking.
Lean Manufacturing covers Lean tools and methods like value stream mapping, future state vision, PQ-chart, Kaizen events, Lean rapid plant assessment, standardized work, and more. If these terms are unfamiliar to you now, you will gain an in-depth understanding in the course.
