The Innovation in Manufacturing Systems and Sustainability course provides an overview of the changing paradigms of manufacturing in the context of industrial/technical revolutions, and how the industrial internet of things (IoT) will enable smart and personalized manufacturing. Sustainable manufacturing, life cycle assessment, eco-audit, and metrics for assessing manufacturing systems are also covered in detail.

Part II: Sustainable Manufacturing
Successful completion requires you to receive an 80% passing grade on the course assessment.
There are no prerequisites for this course. A bachelor’s degree in a science, engineering, or technical field is recommended, but not required.
