Descriptive Analytics Predictive Analytics Prescriptive Analytics Various Applications

Descriptive analytics analyzes historical data to understand what has happened in a system, process, or business over a period of time. It provides insights into past performance and serves as the foundation for predictive and prescriptive analytics.

Predictive analytics focuses on using statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze historical data and make predictions about future events or behaviors.

Prescriptive analytics focuses on using data analysis, mathematical algorithms, and optimization techniques to provide recommended actions or decisions that will optimize a specific business objective.
